Circuit design software - Circuit Design Software

BML is an independent company and has developed software for use in the design of microwave and optoelectronic devices and circuits. We have developed:

  • for use in the layout of PCB metallisation patterns, semiconductor devices and both microwave and optoelectronic integrated circuits

  • is a novel time domain simulator, which supports the use of frequency domain S parameter data

This software runs on a PC, under Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7. The software requires the presence of a LPT or USB dongle, for all the commands to be active. You can download a copy of this software to perform a trial run without the use of a dongle but without the presence of a dongle, you will be in "BASIC" mode and will not be able to save the results of your work.

PCB and MMIC custom layout software, supporting the import and export of layout information, in the following formats:

WaveMaker WAVEFORM includes

In addition to enabling the features discussed above, this software extension enables you to:

  • define a microwave circuit schematic
  • generate a netlist from the circuit schematic
  • perform the small signal microwave simulation of the circuit
  • optimise defined parameters in the circuit
  • perform a large signal simulation of a waveform, in a non-linear circuit

This software enables you to predict the voltage waveform, at any node, in a non-linear circuit containing non-linear diodes and GaAs FETs. In order to make use of the non-linear components, you will need to know the parameters for the non-linear devices. The non-linear device models supported are:

  • SPICE compatible PN DIODE
  • TOM, TOM2 and TOM3 for MESFET and PHEMT
  • EEHEMT1 for PHEMT
  • Modified Gummel-Poon for BJT
