Example of navigation, flight control and communications systems for a small UAV

At the centre of the small Unmanned Aircraft is the Single Board Computer, such as the Kontron JRex-PM running the Microsoft XP Embedded Windows. Note that the core navigation and Flight Control Unit, with its GSM mobile phone back up telemetry link, can continue to function in the event of any problems that might be encountered in the Single Board Computer (such as the need to reset the SBC) running XP Embedded Windows.
